This Privacy Policy explains how information about you, and your home, is collected, curated, used and disclosed by HOMDNA, Inc. ("HOMDNA") when you use our website and our online products and services made available throughwww.HOMDNA.com and/or our mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), or when you otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice, such as adding a statement to the homepage of our website and including a link to our updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you access the Service to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

  1. Collection of Information.
    1. Information You Provide to Us. We collect information about you that you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account, use the Service, request a service provider, contact our Concierge Service, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect about you through these types of activities include your username, password, email address, name, address, phone number, age and any other information you choose to provide.
      We may also collect information that you provide to us about your home, when you, your agent or a HOMDNA agent catalogs your home. This information may include details about the structural components of your home, the appliances you own and related warranty information, your property, your home’s location and any other information about your home that you choose to share with us in your home catalog.
    2. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Service. In addition to information you provide to us, we also collect information about you when you access or use our Services, including:
      1. Log Information: We log information about your use of our website, including your browser type and language, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the website you visited before navigating to our website.
      2. Device Information: We may collect information about the computer or device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, MAC address, unique device identifier, phone number, International Mobile Equipment Identity ("IMEI") and mobile network information.
      3. Information We Collect From Other Sources. We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services.
    3. Analytics Services Provided by Others. We may allow others to provide analytics services on our behalf. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Service and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand your online activity. We work with various third party providers to provide analytics in connection with the HOMDNA applications. Google analytics advertising features, including Google Display Network Impression Reporting, Google Analytics Demographics and interest Reporting, and integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data via advertising cookies and identifiers, are used to analyze and track data to determine interest and activity. You can opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features through Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, Google Analytics' currently available opt-outs for the web, or  any other available means (for example, the NAI's consumer opt-out).
    4. Payment Information. When you use your credit card to purchase goods or services through our website or mobile application, we gather your payment card information to process your purchases through our third-party credit card processor. Any such payment card information we collect is encrypted before it is transferred to our credit card processor. We do not retain any of your credit card information.
  2. Use of Information. We may use information about you for various purposes, including to:
    1. Provide, maintain and improve the Service;
    2. Provide and deliver the products and services you request, process transactions, including credit card transactions, and send you related information;
    3. Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service;
    4. Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
    5. Communicate with you about products, services, offers, promotions, rewards, and events offered by HOMDNA and others, and to provide you with news and information we think will be of interest to you;
    6. Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our Service;
    7. Personalize and improve the Service and provide advertisements, content or features that match user profiles or interests;
    8. Link or combine with information we get from others to help understand your needs and improve the Service;
    9. Detect, investigate and/or prevent fraudulent, unauthorized or illegal activity; and
    10. Carry out any other purpose for which the information was collected.
    HOMDNA is based in the United States and the information we collect is stored on servers located in the United States. Our information gathering and use practices are governed by U.S. law and the law of the state in which you use our Service.
  3. Sharing of Information. We may share information about you as follows, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:
    1. With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to deliver the Service or in response to a request by you for home services and/or to carry out such work on your behalf;
    2. In response to legal process or a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with any applicable law, rule, or regulation, or as otherwise required by any applicable law, rule or regulation;
    3. In order to investigate or remedy potential violations of our Terms of Service, our user agreements and policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of HOMDNA, our users or others;
    4. In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company; and
    5. With your consent or at your direction.
    6. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot be used to identify you. Such aggregated or de-identified information may be shared with third parties for developing and delivering targeted advertising on our website and/or our mobile application. We may also share such information with third parties, such as our advisors or investors, for general business analysis purposes. None of this information contains any personal information.
  4. Third party-recipients. Any third party with whom we disclose your personal information, such as a credit card processor, a service provider, vendor or contractor may have their own privacy policy that discloses how they gather and share information after we have disclosed it to them. If you would like to know more about how your information is processed, retained or disclosed by such third parties, you should visit their websites or make direct inquiry to such third party recipients and become familiar with their privacy policies.
  5. Opting Out. At any time, you may elect to not receive any advertisements, promotions or other emails of a commercial nature from us. To let us know that you no longer want to receive those types of communications from us, you will need to click the ‘unsubscribe’ link in such marketing communications, it may take up to ten (10) days to process and implement your request. After you opt-out, you may still receive other communications from us that are of a non-commercial nature and relevant to your membership and your use of the Service.
  6. Reviews, ratings and comments. We may make certain functionality available to you that will enable you to review and rate your experience with a service provider, to comment on the Service, to comment on other user’s experiences, or other topical subjects on our website and/or our application. The terms governing your ability to leave reviews, ratings or comments on our website can be found in our Terms of Service. We caution you that when you leave a review, rating or comment on our website, you are in a public forum and you are publishing your comments to a large audience that we cannot completely control. Accordingly, please be mindful of what personal information you may be disclosing when you leave a review, rating or comment.
  7. Security. We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. To that end, we provide physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors of HOMDNA who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the HOMDNA website, application and the Service. Please be aware that although we endeavor to provide reasonable security measures to help protect the information we process and maintain from loss, theft and unauthorized access and misuse or destruction, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
  8. Storage and Retention of Account Information. We will store all of your account information so long as you maintain an active account with us. If you request we cancel your account and delete your information, we will purge all personally identifiable information about you from our servers within 60 days. We will retain certain non-personal information that we gathered during our subscription period for analytics purposes, such as measuring the demographics of our users, users’ behavior when interacting with our website, and/or our mobile application and the Service, and user trending.
  9. Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of thirteen.
  10. Account Information. You may update or correct information about yourself by contacting us at support@HomDNA.com.
  11. Push Notifications/Alerts. HOMDNA may send push notifications or alerts to your device. In addition, if your subscription to the Service is sponsored, you may receive communications directly from your sponsor through the HOMDNA Application. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your device.
  12. For California Users. If you live in California, in addition to all other rights under this Privacy Policy, you have the right to request information from us regarding our practices concerning sharing certain categories of your information with third parties for direct marketing purposes. Under California law, you have a right to know the categories of information we share for direct marketing purposes during the preceding year and the parties that we shared the information with, including their address and a description of their business. Our response may be in a standardized report and not specific to you and your information.   13. Your consent. By using the HOMDNA website and/or the HOMDNA application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy and as may be amended from time to time. “Processing” means collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information we obtain, including the information you provide to us directly and the information we obtain automatically, in a fashion consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  14. Data Retention Policy. We will retain the information you provide to us directly and the information we obtain automatically for as long as you have an account with HOMDNA and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain information we acquire automatically for up to twenty-four (24) months and thereafter may store it in aggregate with other, similar information. If you would like us to delete the information that you have provided to us directly either through our website or our application, please contact us at support@HomDNA.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.
